History
.
When it comes to
crayfish patterns, it seem as if they share
a similar fate as do hellgrammite patterns,
limited selections. Although probably not
unique, in the Spring of 2004 I decided to
incorporate the rabbit-tail movement used in
Dougherty's Paddler to a crayfish. The
result was Dougherty's Crayfish, a crayfish
with claws of rabbit strips. In comparison,
many other patterns use rigid feathers which
lack the fish enticing movement of rabbit. Remarked as an easy to tie crayfish pattern,
give it a try for yourself.
