27Nov06 - 30Nov06
- The report from
Assateague, VA is that the beach is fishing
well in the ORV zone. Search deep
water close to shore using Deceivers and
Vineyard minnows. Best times to fish
are 3 hours before low tide to 3 hours
after. Fish to be caught include
speckled trout, flounder, puppy drum and
bass, all ranging from 18-24 inches.
Some larger bass are available but the
frequency is very low. Most important
thing here is water clarity. The
cleaner the better.

13Nov06 - 18Nov06
- I fished Assateague, VA again with
moderate success. A handful of
speckled trout from 18" - 22" and a few bass
up to 32" were landed. Fish were
caught using Deceivers and Vineyard minnows.

01, 02 and 04Nov06
- I fished Assateague, VA with moderate
success. Over the 3 days I landed 1
stargazer, 1 flounder and two puppy drum.
The water was a little stained and the
weather wasn't the best. Fish were
caught using Deceivers and Vineyard minnows.
.

A Chincoteague
stargazer. Who would have
thought
they like flies too?
